Juuso Hämäläinen

Juuso is a Finnish photographer, digital artist, 3D animator, a composer and a musician, living in Vancouver, BC. Through his art he wants to share the magical quality of life that is experienced when one stays present and perceives the world as it truly is and not through the concepts of the mind as most of us have unknowingly learnt to live.

”When one’s mind calms down and only Stillness remains, one can once again experience the aliveness of each thing and choose to take a conscious act from a non-egoistic point of view which is healing for oneself and others.”

This is more easily experienced in the nature. Natural environment reminds us of something deeper that we are part of. An intelligent beyond the mind. This is why Juuso is inspired by the nature and recognizes it’s calming effect on the mind. Not only is his photography mostly about nature but also in his music, sounds from the nature can be heard.

Due to his life-long love towards music, Juuso started composing in September 2019 and published his first album Magic & Mysteries in May 2020. As in his visual art, the same magical, fairytale-like and close-to-nature theme is present in his music.

In 2020 he started learning 3D animation and his later works are combinations of several of his different artistic skills where elements of photography, photo manipulation, 3D animation, composed music, sound design, video editing and poetry come together.

Juuso composed soundtracks for the ”Born of Nature” and “Born of Nature II” short films.
